So you can know a little about me, I would like to
give you a little background history. While I was in school in 1984 preparing to get my manicurist license, I discovered that certain smells and odors of acrylic made me very sick while practicing "hands on" skills during class. I actually coughed up chunks of hardened acrylic that had formed in the pockets of my tonsils. This was enough for me to decide that was not going to be my life long product. Fortunately at that time a new product called "Gels" had hit the market and it was introduced to me by my instructor. After a year of working in a salon applying Gel Nails, I was offered a full time position with a Gel company as a "Gel Nail Tech" covering 12 states. My job was to sell, show demonstrations, work Cosmetology Conventions, set up classes and teach licensed manicurist Gel application.
Notice the date in the right hand corner of this newspaper clipping which shows how long I have been at this.
In all these years, I have never given up on gels. The gel reputation has gone through a lot of ups and downs but it has always remained my #1 choice of nail overlay. I live in Las Vegas and have become a very successful "Gel Nail Tech" with an overflowing business. I have discovered that there is a lack of education and confusion as to understanding the real "Wet Gel" process.
Reasons To Use Gel
1) If you use polish, do your clients nick their nails before leaving .
2) Can your clients paint their nails at home, remove the polish and still have the original overlay you gave them untouched?
3) Are you working in a salon where Gels have become mandatory to learn but you don't know where to start?
4) When you are applying art, do you have to completely
start over on that nail if it gets smudged?
5) Is your overlay product yellowing in tanning beds and between fills?
6) Do you and/or your clients deal with strong toxic odors while applying their overlays?
7) Are you constantly repairing cracks, lifts, and broken nails?
8) Are your clients even returning to you after their first or second appointment?
9) Are your clients sending you referrals?
10) Is your business growing weekly or monthly? This one is Huge!!!
The About Us
page will
show you some pictures of my work.
Keep in mind the pictures you are about to view are all gel colors and no polish. Therefore, there is no drying time! An awesome feature for your clients. They will love the fact that they will never again have to worry about smudging their nails. I believe whole-heartedly that anyone can learn these easy art skills. Even if you can't draw or create your own hand-made design, you can use decals and stickers to help make quick and fun nail art. I also have other easy ways to do art, besides hand done, that will impress and excite you. Combining different techniques is really fun too as you will see!
Check it out,
Glenda
